I’ve been having problems with back pain more and more recently. I spend long hours in the office on the computer at my home. I’m looking for a chair I can sit in that supports my back that is comfortable for long days.

My issue is that I have back problems in my family history, as well as an over abundance of cleavage that causes more problems as well because my body isn’t proportionate. One minute my upper back will hurt, the next it will be my lower back that is causing me pain.

Financial issues are a problem… I can’t afford something I will spend hundreds of dollars on until a get a better job. Which, at the earliest, won’t be until around mid to late January… if I’m lucky.

Another thing I’m wondering is if a footstool would help me. I thought that if I had something to prop up my feet I wouldn’t be moving around as much… It’s just that I can’t find anything relatively inexpensive. I would just like something black, doesn’t have to be leather, with preferably wooden legs. It would be near a power cord and computer wires, so my husband says metal is not a good idea.

Licketychick – One of the office stores, either Office Depot or Office Max is where I bought it. It was a great deal at the time, but in the long haul it just wasn’t as comfortable as I wanted.

Peggy St. – Wow that’s a lot of information! I’m glad to hear I’m not the only one having this particular problem. I wonder if I could find something at Costco, honestly I’d never thought about it. The idea of propping the desk up is interesting, I will have to think about it. I do have a tendency to move around consistently, so I’m not just in one position the entire time. I don’t have an L-shaped desk, although I prefer one, we just didn’t have the space for it. The keyboard / mouse combo I have were of a special design, they don’t make them wireless so I could move around like I would like to.

I will soon be working from home and need to buy a computer (it can be either a desktop or a laptop, it doesn’t matter). If I get a desk top, I want a package that has everything included. Not only will it be my home office computer, it will also hold my music, pictures and I will taking internet courses for college. I have looked at Best Buy and others. Basically I am wondering if there is this awesome computer site that has lower prices that I am missing. Any help is appreciated!

My husband started working from home and I want to surprise him by redoing the office. Any suggestions on where to find a nice desk for computer/printer/fax? Thanks!

I need to find a desk close to home. Problem is, I do not have a large vehicle for transport. Besides Craigslist and Ebay, any ideas on a cheap site for computer desks?

I live in Birmingham, AL and I am looking for home office furniture. I do not want the typical rooms to go or Ashley furniture, I have already been and do not like the selection.
